<p>On our News last night I saw people talking about having to make the choice between getting together with family for a celebration meal, a meal of Thanksgiving and appreciation and fellowship, and going to the shops to take advantage of the special deals on offer.</p>
<p>The thrust of the interviews was that the big shopping chains should not open on Thanksgiving Day, and that they should not put such temptation in the way of people.</p>
<p>At the recent AMT conference I said that &#8220;Successful Marketing IS Spiritual Marketing&#8221; and that, as such, the marketing message is in alignment with company values and the marketing message is clear.</p>
<p>On this occasion, Target and the others are indeed reflecting the core value of that company, which is to make money for their shareholders.</p>
<p>And one way to do that, for sure, is to get more than their share of your Christmas spending this year.</p>
<p>Opening on Thanksgiving Day, a day when people have time to go out to the shops, and making headline-grabbing offers to ensure shoppers choose their shops, is good practice &#8211; if your core value is making money for your shareholders.</p>
<p>The thing is &#8211; that value is NOT accurately reflected in most of their other marketing messages, which are about different things like value, customer service etc.</p>
<p>So I think the reason for the backlash is confusion, mixed messages, lack of clarity.</p>
<p>Customers are thinking  &#8211; &#8220;Hey, is this company really so cuddly and friendly towards me?&#8221;</p>
<p>The reason that this marketing message, which makes perfect sense to the company, is NOT  being successful and is stirring up such controversy, is not because it does not reflect the values of the shops but because the rest of the time the message put out is what the shops want to customer to hear.</p>
<p>The resulting confusion is at the core of the backlash from people who are alert to these messages.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">During the call, Aaron actually gave us the very first peek at his new book &#8211; so new it does not even have a name &#8211; which will look at marketing from the 7 aspects of Consciousness, based on the body Chakras.</p>

<p>Solopreneurs and entrepreneurs like coaches, authors, or trainers jump into their books, client practices, or businesses with passionate visions. If your vision needs grounded feet and positive actions to move forward, then put on the mind of the millionaire to clarify the right attitude for savvy marketing decisions.</p>
<p><strong>1. </strong><strong>Are you promoting a business or starting a movement? </strong></p>
<p>When I started the Academy for Coaching Parents International (ACPI), the coaching programs focused on educational topics like nutrition and stress relief as well as community-building activities like family game night and family hikes. I had a local business that solved local needs. When the Academy transformed into a distance- learning parenting coaching certification program, students responded from five countries. ACPI suddenly became global and my vision expanded into an international movement. Such a movement required solid technological infrastructure far beyond supporting local military families. The feet of the vision were grounded, but needed new shoes.</p>
<p><strong>2. </strong><strong>Are you willing to love and respect money? </strong></p>
<p>All the current beliefs about money are based upon the old you, the past you, the one that didn’t have the new vision. Best-selling author Lynn Andrews suggests that to magnetize money to yourself requires that you have a positive relationship with a five-dollar bill, as most people would disregard its value as too little.  Better yet, I suggest that my clients who are changing money beliefs carry a $100 bill or the monetary equivalent with them at all times. Don’t spend it. Rather open your wallet now and then and nod to the bill, thank it for existing in your world. Feel safe walking around knowing you have something for an emergency! Millionaires regard money as a tool to support their team of people and the infrastructure of their movements.</p>
<p><strong>3. </strong><strong>Are you willing to nurture money, grow it and appreciate it as a means to meet your goals?</strong></p>
<p>You can’t do it all by yourself. You need a team of people to see your vision and believe in it with you. You can and will ask for help because the support of confident people of like mind and heart is something to cherish, and well worth your transformation to an enriched mindset. Think of money as the means to move you forward and support the necessary action steps of your movement.</p>
<p><strong>4. </strong><strong>Are you willing to drop the money drama?</strong></p>
<p>In today’s economy, many of you have lost money, found it, invested it, moved it, wished for it, and worried about not having it. The stories are old and sharing them even more so. Are you willing to stop whatever money drama runs in your life and fake it till you make it? It matters not at all that being a millionaire feels too far away or you barely grasp it. Make the decision right now to be a million dollar business owner. Think optimistically, dress well, exercise and keep your body walking, running, or jogging in a forward manner because sitting or stopping movement stalls your progress forward on every front.</p>
<p>5. <strong>Are you willing to invest in yourself?</strong> If you want clients to invest in you, believe in you, work with you, are you willing to do the same? You can only help another along the path as far as you’ve progressed and help them to avoid the same mistakes. Do you have your cheerleader and personal coach to support your dreams and action steps to a millionaire business? When will you invest in your support? What will you invest to learn more?</p>
<p>6. <strong>Make business and personal decisions from where you want to be</strong>, not from where you are. Each question you ask starts with….<em>As a million dollar business owner</em>…</p>

<p>Working for myself and being my own boss creates an immense amount of opportunities for growth and learning.  I get to set my own pace and decide when and how much I want to challenge myself.   Some days, it feels like I’m barely moving and other days it seems like there’s no stopping me.  And in the marketing world, I can either fall into the outlook, of “oh this is a drag, I’d rather be….., I don’t want to do this” or I can take the perspective of  how can I make this fun and where is the door open to me?   I’ve discovered one secret ingredient that determines how flowing I am.  You know what it is?  It’s Attitude!</p>
<p>While I’m a big proponent of change and trying new things, the truth is I can easily get stuck in my own comfort zone.  So one day, my daughter ( 14 at the time) was quizzing me about how much money I was making.  She very innocently and boldly told me that I needed to become more visible and reach more people with my message if I wanted to make more money. (She’s a natural marketer.)  Prior to this I had mostly been working one on one with clients. So we started brainstorming, and she suggested I lead workshops.</p>
<p>I immediately came up with a million reasons why I couldn’t and felt an immense surge of resistance.  Then I took a pause, looked at my daughter’s limitless viewpoint and opened up to the wisdom, purity, and practicality of her idea.  Her gentle nudging planted a seed.  So I began my first teacher’s playshop for de-stressing and held it during the summer with the hope of attracting the teachers while they were on break. While only 5 teachers came to my first Playshop,  I told myself, “Attitude is everything” &amp; “Quality not quantity”.</p>
<p>One of the participants happened to be the head of the Special Education Department for our district and ended up hiring me on a $10,000 contract ( two years in a row)  to bring Brain Gym and the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) into the schools.  She also made a large book purchase for the district in which I benefited greatly due to affiliate sales.</p>
<p>Recently, I took on the challenge of expanding my coaching business to offering Teleclasses.  I transformed the content from “playshops” for teachers and parents and turned it into a teleclass series.  All I had to do was adjust some of the content to make it phone friendly.</p>
<p>One real boost I got in the marketing of my first teleclass was that I contacted a colleague in my field and asked if he would send out an announcement to his mailing list.  He did and within 1 hour of his email, I got around 30 signups.  The actual attendance was about 1/6 of this, yet I keep reminding myself, it’s quality and not quantity.  And from my recording, I can make products to reach more people if I want.</p>
<p>On my second round of offering teleclasses, when it came time for the class, I noticed there was no one on the line.  What a bummer, I thought yet another voice spoke up inside me which said, “the show must go on and what a great opportunity for me to record my class.”  So at the end of my 90 minute presentation when I went to play back the recording, I was quite shocked to discover that there was nothing.  In that moment, my mind said, “OMG-I just wasted 90 minutes.”  I realized that this could have been a place in my past where I would have quit, given up, beaten myself up in defeat, and/or dug myself into a deep hole.  Somehow I decided to look for the gold in the situation and quickly thought-“Now how can I respond?  My paid participants are expecting a recording and since they were not live on the call-they will never know the difference. Just do it again and make sure it records this time.”  So I gave myself a break-went to the ocean to luxuriate in the deliciousness of the water and refresh myself. When I got back, I felt revived and excited for take two.  This time I made sure it recorded, and I felt relaxed and confident.  And the result- Perfect!</p>
<p>The next day I discovered why I had not had any live participants on the call.  My reminder email went out the wrong day due to a typo on my part.  Here’s another time, I could have gotten really really mad at myself  for making the mistake, yet again I said, “what shall I do about this?’  And I came up with the easy solution of writing the participants with an apology, clarification and a bonus to them for my mistake.  My attitude was light and playful. I had truly implemented my core teaching which is the only thing we have control over our own thoughts, feelings, and actions.  And that’s what I did.  I encourage you all to do the same in your business because attitude truly is everything!!!!</p>

<p>The secular and the cynic might shy away from the Mind, Body, Spirit section of a bookstore &#8211; be it online or in the High Street &#8211; sometimes for good reason.</p>
<p>So if you have an important message you want to share with the world, how do you go about it? The answer lies in writing a literary Trojan Horse. If you don&#8217;t know the story, see the related link below.</p>
<p><strong>Let me share how I&#8217;ve been going about it.</strong></p>
<p>When I wrote my first book, 100 Years of Ermintrude, I was told that I was channelling my work. My first reaction was to say, &#8220;Don&#8217;t be stupid, I&#8217;m not a medium.&#8221;</p>
<p>When I looked into it some more, I discovered channelling is really just getting your conscious mind out of the way so another form of consciousness can come through. The external consciousness may well be a dear departed spirit but can also be your guide, fairies at the bottom of the garden or even your Future-Self. I even teach how to do it now on my workshops and show how you can even channel the chair you are sitting on.</p>
<p>So when I wrote my first non-fiction book, I thought it would be a good idea to write about channelling but to open up the ideas to a new audience &#8211; to all writers and creatives. The book turned out to be ostensibly about writer&#8217;s block &#8211; it is even simply called Blocks &#8211; and was published by a non-MBS publisher.</p>
<p>By writing about things that stop your Muse coming through, you cannot help but touch on topics that would appear in a book on channelling such as the collective consciousness, higher self, karma, the importance of breath and even the food you eat.</p>
<p>It even promotes, without mentioning it explicitly, the practice of active channelling where the author is in the loop and adding value and context. The book though doesn&#8217;t appear in the MBS section.</p>
<p>For my next trick, I had the idea that it would be great to introduce a new audience to the magic and wisdom of the Major Arcana of the Tarot. So I wrote Flavours of Thought which explains the essence of each card in hypnotic language. Furthermore it shows how triplets of cards can be combined into recipes to tackle many common issues and opportunities. In some ways, it’s a book of spells but without the baggage of any arcane ritual.</p>
<p>I managed to pull this off without mentioning the word Tarot once. The references are all there for those who want to learn more.</p>
<p>My latest work is ostensibly about how to have light bulb moments on demand. Guess what though? It&#8217;s really a book on how to prepare for ascension into the new consciousness. It is written to be read by business people, entrepreneurs and scientists as well as the spiritual awakened. By reading the book and following the exercises, you will raise your vibration and become a transceiver for the Light. I don’t of course use this type of language in the book.</p>
<p>The common themes of the work is to fabricate real world applications from spiritual practices. I call it making the esoteric into the exoteric &#8211; that is taking the unknown, occult and hidden into the known and understood.</p>
<p>I should also mention that each book was simultaneously published in print and for the Kindle, iPhone and iPad. They are also augmented by audio tracks to help get the reader into the perfect state of consciousness. Shortly, I&#8217;ll be merged words, video and audio into Enhance Edition books too.</p>
<p><strong>Has this overall tactic worked you may ask?</strong></p>
<p>Well the results for me have been the opening of new doors, new business opportunities and dialogues with those that have been searching for answers but want them delivered in a contemporary context. There&#8217;s a number of new authors who are now happily writing and being published with a new and strong connection with their Muse. I find that spiritually aware businesses approach me and we can use spiritual practices such as channelling, timeline entanglement and manifestation in the board room &#8230; as well as the odd bit of magic.</p>
<p>This particular &#8216;horse&#8217; is now riding on to the next project &#8230; the emergence synthesis of a new mode of consciousness, being and doing. I may choose to write the next book though with gloves off.</p>

<p>He says Memory in the Cells teaches “emotional education” and shows the reader how to transform the “pain body” into the “joy body”, helping to heal all aspects of their lives.</p>
